Rift in time - New ventures, new adventures - Impossible to talk to Scrooge

I have a problem with the "new ventures" quest. I show the sign I took on "Rift" island to Scrooge. Scrooge then starts running to the dream castle and I have to follow him. At the castle, Scrooge stops in the entrance. The quest hint tells me I need to speak to Scrooge, but I cannot because he is too far in the castle entrance. No matter what I do, I end up entering the castle before I can speak to him. On the web, some people said it's possible to enter in photo mode to force Scrooge to come back a little, but I was never able to do it. Each time I quit photo mode, Scrooge go back in the entrance of dream castle, too far for me to start a conversation.

I just found a work around to continue this quest. Since I was not able to talk to Scrooge and that he stays stuck in the dream castle entrance, I decided to go to the rift in time island without him.

I then save my game and quit. When I restarted the game, I was now on the rift in time island and Scrooge was already in front of his building. I was then able to talk to him and continue the quest.

Yeah, I had done that quest on Eternity Isle, so Scrooge never had to interact with the Castle. It just worked like usual for a "follow <Villager> to <place>" quest.
