WALL-e seeds

I haven't seen any other discussion on this, but forgive me if there is and I didn't see it. I just unlocked Wall-e and I am trying to plant his seeds, but it won't let me. I have plots dug, I have the seeds in my backpack, but when I click E to plant, it says I have no seeds to plant? I also tried putting the seeds in a chest instead, and same result. Why can't I plant these seeds? TYIA!

The seeds he Gives you in his area? if those i think it was 8 special seeds have to be planted where you find Wall-e

Oh! I thought they had to be planted in the Valley. That would explain a bunch. Thank you!
