Passion Lily Glitch?

I was trying to complete the ''A place for Joy'' Quest Line, but all my Passion Lilies in the Frosted Heights show up in game as being red, until you harvest them. Made it difficult to find the Blue one. Am I the only person this is happening to? It's been a few days, with multiple game restarts, but this is still happening.

Mine is doing this as well. The patch update didn't include a fix for it. I think its been a week since it started

That's because the most recent major update introduced the bug. There are already probably a half of a dozen threads already on the topic. It is also posted on the developers Trello[trello.com].

It is not clear if it is a bug or a "gimmick" to add to the complexity of the game. At this point, I am assuming it is intentional to make it a little more complex to get the passion flowers.

Before they did that, I just picked the black ones and gave the middle finger for the rest.

Some people say it is a reference to Alice in Wonderland, so this bug might be a feature.

Here is what some did:

Okay to preface the tip: The flowers still are in various colors, just show as red on the ground but various colors in your inventory.

Pick up all the lilies. KEEP the two that are black lilies.

Now drop all the other ones. Use furniture mode to set up a neatly ordered set of rows so you can notice and avoid that area the next day.

Now every day the two that spawn OUTSIDE that neatly ordered area will be black lilies.

In that way you can easily collect two black lilies (per day or more often; I am not sure how often, but I saw them twice a day I think), and store them. Once you have enough you can make your craft item.

Put all the other ones in a contained area like a corner of the frozen land. Just pick up the color you wanted.

Every day the new ones that spawn will be the color you wanted.

I wanted to craft the green large chest but I need green lilies from the frosted heights, I've been picking all the red ones and only red ones are spawning in their place.

I just noticed even though when they spawned in the world Red when I look at inventory there are several different colors/types.

My problem is I picked so many of them trying to find the blue one that they are all on the other side of the bridges. I even saw a blue one sitting on the edge of the other side of the water right next to a bridge. It was so close I could almost reach it, as if it were mocking me.

I used furniture mode to set up some rows of flowers in the ice region. Then I just kept picking just the black lilies. In a fairly short time, I had a lot of them. I didn't realize before, that they replace more than once a day.

I might line up all flowers in all biomes. It's very handy for when you want to find some.

You can move the flowers in furniture mode.
Or you can move the teleport well to the other side of the river and pop over there.
