I can't hover???

I'm playing on my PC, and I keep seeing people saying to press B to hover, but that is for consols I believe cause if I click B, it just gives me the explanation on what my current hang out buddy can do etc... I've yet to figure out how to cover. My energy bar is in gold and I'm moving while I'm trying to hover, nothing is happening no matter what I press

If you have an X Box controller I strongly encourage it. I don't use my keyboard to move sorry.

It's shift on keyboard. I'm sure it even says shift to sprint on screen somehwere.

A quick note here is that you can't hover if you have any items in your hands. When you have no items, the info appears about what button to press for the sprint (if you got golden power to use for it that is).
