Disney Parks Star Path - Mine Shiny Garnets - does not progress with Pickaxe Polish?

Anyone else having this issue? I used Pickaxe Polish and have obtained at least 2 Shiny Garnets, but the counter is still 0/2. Don't think I've found any with the un-buffed pickaxe yet.

I am having a similar problem with the customized mickey ears. There may be some glitch in the game at this point.

If you found Shiny Garnets with buffed pickaxe, it won't count. I 've found 1 unbuffed until now.

I did that, but did not seem to matter. Maybe I am missing something, but it seems the only place to "put on" the customized ears is from the customize icon box. Is there some way to transfer it to Hats?

Took me several attempts. I customized two of the white mickey ears. First attempt I changed just the color, the second I colored and added a motif. I saved both times, put them on and nothing. I deleted them, put on a regular ball cap. Went back into Inventory, Wardrobe, Customize and chose the same white mickey ears, changed the color and saved. Exchanged ball cap to ears and nothing. Frustrated I exchanged the ears for the ball cap again and it completed. It makes no freaking sense. I did nothing different in customizing other than the color and used the same white mickey ears. All I can say is try multiple times and try putting on a hat to exchange back and forth and see if it completes for you too.

go to the dressing room, match them and put on white Mickey ears and then just color them in if you're all about getting the job done.

Nope. All customized clothing stay in the customize section. Did you manage to get it fixed? Sometimes exiting the game and going back in helps. Like Firefly said, sometimes you have to keep trying to do it a couple of times for it to take. It's happened to me before too.

I can't find any shiny garnet either. I've been farming on the peaceful meadow and the main square for a long time now but haven't found anything.
I've gotten 40-50 of the normal red garnets by now.

LOL. I write here in the forum and 5 minutes later I find the first shiny garnet. Unbelievable.
I haven't done or changed anything special. Just ran my tour again and got the shiny garnet.

did you actually design them or just put on the plain white cause they need a design to count. to be clear it is the one with just the band and ears. no hat part cause I know there is a mickey ear hat, no minnie bow, just the ears and band.

After I read this message, I worried about how long it would take. I took a non-miner and mined like 5 spots that didn't have a gem showing, and 2 of them were shiny garnet. Absolutely ridiculous luck.
