arendallian pickled herring

So i cooked the arendallian fish pie and it says that i have to have the glittering pickled herring in my inventory but cant catch one again. is this a glitch?

Only when it rains can you catch it, from the gold circles.

From what I have heard, if you use the glittering herring in another recipe (by accident) it will not spawn again to be caught until 24 hours has elapsed- assuming the mission is still active. Once you pass the mission, you will never need to worry about glittering herring again. You can still make the pickled herring dish with regular herring.

Not sure how true that spawn information is, but that is the word on the streets.
