You really don't need an internet connection to play this game; only to use it's cloud save feature for cross platform playing.
The game won't let you collect 50 moonstones from blue chests though if it sees you as not connected to the internet.
Cross-play is exactly what I need it for. I go between my Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch and Xbox depending on the moment and for some weeks this has been the problem. Updated everything possible and still the same issue. I’ll end up messaging support to see if they know about it.
Have you also checked if there isn't any firewall or antivirus software blocking the network connection for the game?
The game doesn't work with ethernet. Double-check that you are on WiFi. For whatever reason...
Whenever I have encountered the issue since it's been because I forgot to unplug the internet when I play.
That's so odd, because I play (on pc) with ethernet plugged in and do not have issues with connection. Have you tried resetting your ethernet port settings?
I been having this issue also. Hotspot works for me but you gotta use it everytime.
I also submitted tickets on this, the support is pretty useless. They say it's my computer... when it's not. Drivers updated, internet is stable. I even reset my router sets etc So yea support/devs for this game is pretty garbage.
