Spoiler talk ahead, don't read if you haven't done the quest yet!



You get a chance to save the Forgotten, and they can become a new friend. I even saw in the Friends Collection a spot called "Dreamlight." I was hoping the Forgotten could move into the valley and become a neighbor, maybe even a roommate. you could treat them like a sibling, since they're part of you, and you've made peace with them. But all they did was move back into the dark castle in the other realm to "gather their thoughts," and the portal is still open so you can visit them. Do you think they'll eventually join the valley community?

Lol, me too. I thought Fairy Godmother would introduce us to Cinderella.

As for the OP's question, I think at some point the Forgotten character will leave because they said they wanted to stay for a while (If I remember that correctly). This story will probably somehow connect with the next that includes our "mystery" character we got a glimpse of. So I think at some point that portal will close.
