This game as become a mess
It started out great and the reviews of most players were overwhelmingly positive, but the more updates and events and roll-outs they do...the more people seem to be displeased with the direction they are heading.

I hope they will realize this, get out of their absurd capitalist mindset, take about 1000 steps back, and go in a different direction.

all new content are free for all, only cosmetics are to pay and don't are necessary for the content of the game, so what is the problem?

The new Wall-E bundle, which includes quests, isn't free.

yeah, but don't all quests technically unlock cosmetics?

They tend to move the story along. I would be unhappy if the Wall E quest was essentially to moving the story line or understanding the story. I am guessing it does not.

I agree it would be nicer if all game play content was available for free. I do see a similarity in this is just another way to add DLCs that require payment. Hopefully, if I wait long enough, the price for the Wall E quest will come down to something that seems reasonable to me.

That is how I usually handle any game that offers DLC at some cost.

they are short quests, you find pages for a book similar to the alien quest for buzz but less annoyingly long wait to find them all, same with feathers for the other quest, you break some rocks, you set merlin up on a blind date with mother gothal which goes about as well as one would expect. honestly the outfits are nice but you aren't really missing much if you skip this one. the best part of the wall-e bundle is the skin for wall-e himself.

after restarting recently, I kind of wish we didn't have to unlock the castle to unlock bioms. I like only have mickey, goofy, scrooge, merlin, and remy (cause merlin made me choose a door to unlock so figured that is the most useful door out of the entire game for me. Knowing what the quests are like I'd rather avoid them and currently living happily in my valley without the objective of saving the valley. Be nice if the door knob would stop spawning everywhere cause I don't want it in my valley (I picked it up and was able to ignore merlins quest tracking). A way to turn off quests completely and farm is more my cup of tea. I should not have to fill my valley with people I have no desire being around to unlock bioms. Not that I even like the frozen heights or dazzle beach or the forest of valor or the sunset plateau. Really only need the plaza, meadow, and swamp.

And isn't the entire game about cosmetics? Like, people argue "It's only cosmetics, so that's fine then - just ignore the shop". This saying comes from hack and slash games and shooter and such, which don't focus on decorating things. So annoying and yet even more annoying that people keep supporting this attitude... :steamsad:

You think this is a mess, before I went to bed last night I watched a docu on history channel about cults and then I had a dream about disney cult, it was a mess.

This game has gone downhill for me. I'll still play it from time to time, but it won't be huge focus of my game play time. This update introduced so many bugs for me. I can't hang out with Fairy Godmother so I can only raise her friendship via gifts. I can't feed critters to receive a reward. I have to first summon my version of the critter as a companion then feed the corresponding critter in game to get a reward. The new bordered version of the dark brick path is bugged on the corners and looks stupid. There are other bugs, but I won't rant about them all here.

As for the Wall-E bundle, I have no problem with paid DLC if the price is fair and the content good. Even then, I can still control myself and not buy worthless crap (which that bundle is). My biggest problem with this DLC is that they haven't even finished the game. FINISH YOUR GAME AND LAUNCH IT before charging people for game play content.

That is your opinion, but I don't play for the cosmetics. I think they are kind of stupid- even the non-monetary stuff. I would not be sad if they cut about 90% of the furniture and clothing out of the game. It just gums up what I am looking for when I need to find something related to a quest. (They really need to fix the UI for all the inventory/recipe lists)

I see the game more as an an ongoing story with some various farming activities included. Some of the cosmetic stuff is cute (like the space ranger cardboard wings and helmet) but not what I play for.

It has been launched. "Early access" is just a term to excuse bugs and the lack of certain features. It is public available, you can buy it and you can play it and we're not lacking big features or got lots of bugs (well, for today's standards at least). What else would you expect to happen when they leave early access? This only enables publisher to "launch" their games twice to increase sells.

I wonder why scrooges does not have a premium section of store to see the premium goods in person? Would think seeing something in person and demoing especially clothing in store before purchase would sell more shoes, wings, dresses, nails, hair. If it's in the budget after it's technically done they could sure use some cosmetic upgrades.

You said EXACTLY what I was thinking--this game is essentially just cosmetics and free play. I have said this over and over, but I wish there were mini games or other things within in...almost like stardew valley (the mini quests, the cave mining). I wish there were leaderboards (multiple small ones so that we all have a chance) each week with players trying to collect X amount of items for items/moonstones.
