Achievements not retroactive/broken?

Please tell me they're retroactive. Would be quite annoying if they aren't.

Strange! Some popped up just now without needing to do that.

Do the achievements update in "real time" too? Like the achievement for getting rid of 3k thorns. It shows as "0". Or will it only pop when I've reached 3k without being able to track?

Have you removed a night thorn since launching the game after the patch? It will probably update the steam achievement once you have.

Same... removing thorns, conversations, dreamlight valley tasks etc won't update in the achievements for me. Still sitting on 0 and i have done quite a bit after the update and it's not moving.

It took me an hour to play before it updated it.

I've got 9/15 (including Dreamlight Duties), but the ones I'm missing are "do lots of X" ones (mining, fishing, cooking, night thorns, discussions, etc), and they're all still stuck at 0. Since this morning.

I got everything but "Thorn Cleaner" or whatever it is called. I got no credit for that one...even though I am a few hundred from getting the thorns clear dreamlight achievement in the game.

I am not big on Steam Achievements. Seems kind of silly.

The following achievements have not updated for me despite playing for an hour and doing a bit of everything:

Angler (Catch 1,800 fish)
Chef Cook (Cook 900 meals)
Miner (Mine 1,800 times)
Thorn Cleaner (Remove 3,000 Night Thorns)
Chit Chatter (Start 1,000 daily conversations)
Duty Bound (Complete 1,000 Dreamlight Duties)

Also, still annoyed that these aren't retroactive but the other ones are? Makes no sense.

Same and I’ve played many hours since update and nothing is progressing.

I have no progress with achievements, too. Sad.

I expect they will pop when you reach each milestone in game. I wouldn't put too much into steam not counting them as you go, this happens a lot.

EDIT. Confirmed. I just had the 1800 mining achievement pop. I was 1.7k/1.8k in game and just spent a little time finishing it. So just track them in game and they will trigger in steam as and when.

Yeah, I've had similar achievements for other games not update, but I was just hoping they would here. Shame! Thank you!

most games ive played track bang on, this is strange tho cause yeah if achivements come after launch it can be tricky. i have not gotten the coin one, but i got 1.9k on me right now, so maybe bugged for some and just need to buy things then sell to make 1.8k pop up. who knows.
