Unable to plant candy cane seeds

So I get that Venellope glitches but ever since her update all I get are glitches! First, the Dream Snaps won't work, now I can't plant her seeds. I dig a hole, but the seeds aren't in my seed bar. I try to drag them from my inventory and it won't work. Anyone else having this problem?

I just did all that stuff it worked like normal. I just dug 10 holes next to my pumpkin patch and planted and watered them. They can be harvested almost immediately- like under 2 minutes. I was messing around after watering and they just popped up.

Have you time traveled or installed any mods? Those actions can cause problems in the game.

@Songbirdcaon Stand on the hole that you just dug and the game should prompt you to plant the seeds. Mine worked like it did with any seed, so I just did the normal procedure and they grew in a minute or two (which was exactly what the quest text said.)
