If you decide later that you want to submit a different photo, it will ask you if you want to replace your original dreamsnap, since you can only have one as your submission for the week. It's really not as complicated as this answer might make it sound and I'm sure that once you've done one, you'll have no trouble
So here's what I found out --
Set up your room as outlined in the Dream Snaps challenge.
Get all the elements in the photo with you -- or in the photo -- it won't 'read' them unless it 'sees' them.
Take the photo. BEFORE You save the photo, press D. Then look on the screen to your left.
You will see how many of each element you still lack, or if they are all in the photo, it will say 5/5 or whatever -- like when you have a gathering quest. If it's lacking it will say 3/5 or something.
Once the elements are fulfilled, 5/5 each in this case -- then it will ask if you want to upload it to Dream Snaps. For that, you press T.
And that's about it...
Oh and it wouldn't let me at first because I had on a dress I had 'made.' So it even counts clothing in the 'no painted fabrics' rule or whatever. So make sure nothing is hand painted.
Those are very helpful hints, however! I appreciate it.
There's no way my snapshot is anything creative...I don't enjoy the decorating challenges, I find them too proscribed. I'm sure some will come up with amazing things within the parameters.
But at least I was able to get the girl into the game. Her house fit well beside the candy house I had in the forest biome. And that's a larger biome, so there was enough room for it.
I decorated one of the rooms in the new beach house. I went to Scrooge's shop and looked at furniture categories first and then tried to remember pieces. The filters would've worked also.
It would be nice if they let us pick filters in Furniture mode, and only show the ones that qualify.
That is where you pick the filters. While in furniture mode, you select the filters that the game has told you are the requirements for the week, and then only the items that you own that meet those requirements will be shown to you. You're free to add other items, of course, but just make sure your photo meets the mandatory requirements as well.
Thanks.
I am also having this problem. I get all of the required items in the photo, but it doesn't seem to register that I did it. I even placed the items, completely exited the game, and loaded back into it to see if it needed reset. Perhaps this is just a bug because it's a brand new feature?
After the tutorial one you get to do the first one(which is clothing only). You get scored automatically by how well it fits the theme, and people vote on it. The reward is like half automated score and half votes. So again, if you don't actually care you can just check the filters for the right items and wear as much of the items you can fit on your character, without regard to how it looks. That gives you the most rewards, if you don't want to bother with winning votes.
I just dumped a pile of stuff in the forest and took my picture with it.
Make sure all items are in the correct categories.
How do you vote? I know it says that voting is an option seen under the challenge but I don't see a voting option.
