Can't enter houses

I am unable to enter any houses, including my own. Also am unable to interact with and of the Goofy Stalls. Any idea what could be wrong?

I have verified my game files in Steam, still broken.

Did you enter the swamp-like forest and got into gothels tree-house? And is there some black foggy thingi going around all houses?
Then it has to do with the quest from her. You just have to do the quest and then you should be able to access houses and stalls again. (It's because of the Quest's specific parameters, that the houses and stalls are non accessible, also most of the characters)

That must have been it. I only had 18 hours in the game and was unhappy with a few things so I started a new save file. This is good to know for the next time I get the quest. Thank you!

I only knew it, cause I accidentally spoilered myself before it though |D

I think you're on one of Goofy's quest (did you check his house?). Check your quests to see if there is something there that has to do with the fog.
