So why stick with mundane earth-games like Tetris or Match 3? Supposedly, this is supposed to become an online multiplayer game - more like Tower Unite, in that it has a very small world that is purely LOADED with activities.
Sooooo.... why not add a Pirates of the Caribbean-style shooting gallery ride using a bean-bag gun, tracking scores, and running a leader board outside of the ride? Why not have some Disney-styled mini-golf courses? Why not create small procedural-generated worlds for random scavenger hunts?
You cannot include other games (Tetris, Match3, etc) in this game without incurring a burden of copyright violation or the requirement of paying royalties for use of the game. The DDV team will have to dream up their own games within the limitations of their IP licensing. And this is just another guess, but I think the DDV team already has its hands full with this game, limited as it is. They haven't even been able to introduce movement physics to keep players from sticking to everything they touch or bump against.
blablabla yadda yadda yadda with your giant block of text. You missed the first half of my tiny post, which is the main point; second one was an example.
