Suggestion For More Gameplay Types
My hope for this is that there will eventually be gameplay that isn't a resource farm loop. I'm thinking more mouse and keyboard, controller mario party/kart/sports resort and lots of other things in the broadest sense of the concept. Go into your house use the computer or game setup, play tetris and other things. Again fun things to do that keep you coming back besides resource grind and decorating.
Which will also help with multiplayer otherwise you're just in a virtual lobby.
What do you do when you've progressed to the end?:steambored:

I'm saying this a an observation not as a statement of aggression -> In that I don't have high hopes for any of that, seeing the architecture of the game as it is. The way the characters move and everything just isn't a conducive setup to the request above.
But hey its Still early, lots of games have had Improvements on the scale of infinitely better

Also Has anyone else noticed the Sun and Moon Rise in the Southwest and set in the Northeast?

Would definitely like at least a few puzzles, rather than all fetch quests. Grinding iron all the time is not really compelling.

I want to play the arcade machines at least. even if its simply a Tetris clone or a Match 3

This is just a wild guess, but I'd say that - judging by the floating islands and ridiculously tiny scale of the world - that DDV doesn't occur on planet earth. It is a fantasy world, where, clearly, the laws of physics don't necessarily apply. So, islands of rock float, animated characters live, breathe and talk, and the sun rises and sets differently.

So why stick with mundane earth-games like Tetris or Match 3? Supposedly, this is supposed to become an online multiplayer game - more like Tower Unite, in that it has a very small world that is purely LOADED with activities.

Sooooo.... why not add a Pirates of the Caribbean-style shooting gallery ride using a bean-bag gun, tracking scores, and running a leader board outside of the ride? Why not have some Disney-styled mini-golf courses? Why not create small procedural-generated worlds for random scavenger hunts?

You cannot include other games (Tetris, Match3, etc) in this game without incurring a burden of copyright violation or the requirement of paying royalties for use of the game. The DDV team will have to dream up their own games within the limitations of their IP licensing. And this is just another guess, but I think the DDV team already has its hands full with this game, limited as it is. They haven't even been able to introduce movement physics to keep players from sticking to everything they touch or bump against.

blablabla yadda yadda yadda with your giant block of text. You missed the first half of my tiny post, which is the main point; second one was an example.

You don't have floating islands outside your house? I should cut back on the coffee...
