Especially when they're supposed to be free to play!!!
I am most likely in the demographic that this store is aimed at, but there is no way I'm going to spend more than my heating bill every month on one game. It's too bad; I usually enjoy the premium aspects of games/stores and don't mind supporting a free to play game that is really good. But these prices take collecting everything out of reach of um...everyone? Wish there was an emoji of a whale swimming away - it would sum up this post so well.
I don't understand Scaz, because it is free. You don't need to have moonstone to play it. You can find 100 free- moonstones by day with blue chests. And the premium shop is only cosmetic items not more playable item or npc or map. So don't worry :)
Jendea is you find 100 moonstone by day, with one month you can "buy" a special pack items on the premium shop.
I repeat, you don't need all the items to play at all. So enjoy the free-game, it is really fun.
Many thanks for the information Miss P.
Well for 1, getting 100 moonstones a day requires finding 2 moonstones chests each day. Each chest is 50 and you usually get 1 and you have to spend the time to check for it and potentially waste time not finding it again. 30 days of finding 1 chest is only 1,500 moonstones. The star paths are 2500 (which is more than it used to be). The current items in the premium shop are way over priced. 3k-4.8k moonstones for 3 furniture items or 1 house skin that don't have any alternative colors, which is roughly $15-25$ for each depending on the item and where you live.
Putting that aside. There will be content that will cost money. They say so on the last paragraph on their faq about monetization [gameloft.helpshift.com]
If they're trying to ask people to pay that much for non essential stationary items, I fear what they're gonna ask for more content.
Did you even paid for it once?
And no, normally, npc and adventure are free and will be forever free
Pinkfluff I find 2 chests with 50 monstones each on my playtime (2 hours), so one month is okay for a pack premium. And they said they only make paid stuff only for cosmetics/decor items. No "pay to win" or "pay to have a better/heavier game" ;)
Cmdo.Delta, I find 2 chests in my short playtime, I was really surprise but happy ^^
Sorry, but you only get one blue chest per day; the green ones only gives money or item-bags. If you got two, that was probably a bug.
There's scummy f2p gambling archetypes and there's other versions.
What this will be I don't know.
But when someone microtransactions parts of an expanion, for example buy the expansion or part of one then you progress to a dungeon or something then it says whoops you have to buy this part of the expansion within the expansion you just bought access to well...bye.
I bought the base game Of elder scrolls online and some expansions way back when, and its free to play not subscription based. I enjoyed my purchases and didn't feel cheated. Allthough they did microtransaction a few small dungeons. So eating my own words a bit there.
I'm leaning towards it's a bug too. I have over 300 hours and I've seen multiple chests that I could redeam maybe 4-5 times. For a while in between the 1st and 2nd update patches The game would spawn 2 but only allow me to claim the rewards from 1 while giving me an error that basically said "you reached your daily limit try again tomorrow" on the second one
Also... I'm aware of what they said and very aware there's no pay to win, pay to skip time, ect ect... I've been following this game before the official trailer back in April last year. There will be content locked behind paid dlc later after the official launch when the game is out of early access.
I generally appreciate the item shop and would even have bought items occasionally, as this keeps the development going. But these prices are just ... rude; and will certainly make player leave, which will result in "too less players for the game to be profitable" eventually. I'm really in love with this game and wish the managers would focus on keeping the game going instead of trying to make as much revenue as possible in the shortest amount of time possible.
It's still early access and they're trying to milk the cash cow! That's so ... insolent! Just look at other games that did this! None of them became great titles.
Ah flûte lol Lucky me when I have 2 alors ^^
You are wrong, Path of Exiles is one of the greatest and it is the same, everything is free except for cosmetics stuffs to helping the dev ;)
