And now the patch is out and we know they are definetly not doing charity... And they want us to "test things out" and tell them if these prices are okay...? Please...
3000+ Moonstones per premium item, not even a fixed price... Packages of Moonstone are either €4,99 for 1200, €9,99 for 2500... Aw, so close to 3000, right? No, you have to pay €19,99 and get 5500, that you can still only get one item for, then you have to fork out another €4,99 to get a second item... OR, even better, why not just cough up €49,99 and get 14500 moonstones! That's good for... four... items...
Say what you want, if you want to farm star paths every month and find a measly 50 Moon stones in chests every day (that's 60+ days to get ONE of the Premium item btw...), then be my guest. This is just messed up.
The main story and the character quests are not locked behind moonstones, you can only buy cosmetic items with them (which are really pricey, I admit that) and without those you don't get any less enjoyment out of the gameplay.
We all paid to be part of the 'early access'. Some of us paid more than others. Regardless, I don't think the premium shop should even be a 'thing' yet, and when the game IS free to play, the premium shop still needs prices adjusted.
Honestly I can live without the items currently available, but that doesn't make it okay. The game is now feeling like a 'free' mobile game which preys on people's addictions, and that becomes an accessibility issue.
As for the moonstones being available in game every day, you only get 50 per day. If you were to log in every day and find a blue chest, it would still take 20 days to gather 1000 moonstones, which still is not enough to buy the cheapest item currently in the premium store (cheapest is 3000 moonstones). You also have limited time to buy the items. If you were to purchase the moonstones it would cost you $65. With that money you could buy a brand new game instead...
Yep, they have. and until they break that promise I am not going to start bashing their decision.
I had personally hoped it would be smaller purchases to accommodate the smaller moonstone packages. I much rather buy an item at a time rather than a set. Also, I kind of want to know what really differentiates these sets from one another? Why is one set of three cosmetic items more expensive than a set of three different items? It can't be because of the individual pieces because we're unable to purchase them apart from one another.
As an aside mention, it would be more of an incentive to buy if we could preview these items in-game in some manner. I don't want to take a risk on an interior housing skin if it ends up looking bad. So I do hope they consider some kind of system for that in the future.
Real problem is asking 15€ for simple 3 objects pack for the sake of exclusivity using FOMO from a community that already paid up to 70 €.
When you realise that your 20k moonstones will only be worth 20 objects is plainly disgusting. Even the Sims did not dare.
This is not respectful at all.
The only problem is if you are literally trying to collect every single item in the game, which there is no reason to do. There are tons of cool free items, and if you are active you can even get any of the premium stuff you want for free too. Just not everything in the game.
