No dark blue shellfish?

Since the holiday update I've not seen any dark blue shellfish. Has anyone else seen them in their game or is it mine?

I keep finding them every day, sometime I have to search behind bushes, trees or a pillar.

Apparently, we're allotted one oyster per harvest. If your oyster is well hidden, you might not get another for days. Do a really thorough search.

Yeah, the oysters seem to be the 'rare' of the shellfish. Those little buggers can hide anywhere. I've even found them hidden in front of the entrance to the cave we first found Ursula in. And you can't see them unless you go up to that cave.

Yeah, I've had them hide there, too. Glad you found it. I just found mine hiding behind a flower pot I placed in front Moana's house. It was so close, I had to move the pot to get it......lol!

In general: if you cannot find the rarer spawn you want, try picking up everything else so they will respawn. That gives you another shot at having the rarer spawn take their place. If you always leave the things you don't want on the ground, eventually everything will have spawned as things you don't want. This is a dynamic in many games between forced respawns of the whole map (daily/weekly resets). (This does not work if the problem is literally "1 spawn/day" and you just haven't found that one for the day.)

Clean up the trash, and treasure may appear in its place.

Why are these so important? They are spawned every day, aren't they? Are you guys collecting every bits and pieces any day? If so, why?
