In fact, the only way to come out ahead with the Star Paths if all you're worried about is getting Moonstones is to never buy into the premium unlock at all. Otherwise, you're always going to be losing Moonstones once everything's said and done - a net loss of 500 for the normal premium unlock and 400 if you do the premium unlock that starts you off with extra tokens.
You can get that final reward page. But only if you buy the Premium unlock for the Star Path at the highest level, the one that comes with extra event tokens. That's the only way you'll ever have enough event tokens to access that last reward page with the repeatable Moonstones.
These events are not designed for players to break even on them. Purchasing Moonstones is how the game's going to make its money when it goes free-to-play. The only way to make Moonstones on the Star Paths is by not buying into Premium at all and then collecting whatever Moonstone rewards are available along the free path.
That's all it's for.
Edit: I mean event tokens.
Though yes, you still need to unlock everything before it.
The first event I bought the lower premium unlock and was only able to use the last page 1 time after doing all the tasks and unlocking all rewards.
I will always buy the max premium unlock now.
