Dreamlight Valley (Steam & Switch)
I have the Ultimate edition of Dreamlight Valley here on Steam. I wan't to purchase it on my Nintendo Switch. Can I buy the Standard version on the Switch, and if I do, will my items I received from the Ultimate edition transfer from the cloud. Or do I have to purchase another Ultimate edition on the Switch to match up games. I've heard the Moonstones won't go over but I can spend them on Steam.

No idea...but it will be a free game in the new year. If you just are concerned about parting with the cash...wait for that to happen.

i have it on my switch too , and i had to do is sign in the cloud and you other game will be the same on the switch and pc will match

Thanks for the replies. I just made it easier on myself. I'll wait until it's free on Switch. I installed Steam Link on my Fire Cube and I'm remote playing with my full Steam Ultimate Edition on my TV. Works like a champ.

How about going the other way? My son gave me a Switch Lite and I bought this game on that device. If I buy the standard edition on Steam and login with the cloud save, will it synch up and share content between both platforms? Do the editions need to match?

They don't have to match to play the game.

yes you can have two accts , one for pc and one on the switch but then if you want all the ultlimate package you have to buy it for the second acct , if you dont want your accts conn,

What you should consider: The game is completely unstable on the Nintendo Switch.
It crashes for me about once per hour(!). Even worse: when you want to take a selfie ingame and you didn't just (re)start your game, it's a crash in over 90% of the time. :-/
I like the game and as I don't have a Windows PC the Switch is my only option here, but it's really hard to enjoy it with the long loading times and when it is constantly crashing so that you are forced to restart it. :-(
So right now I would not recommend to buy it on the Switch at all.
