Cannot gift deluxe or ultimate dlc?

Is there really no way to gift the deluxe or ultimate dlc to someone? The only options I see are bundles that can't be gifted. Christmas is coming up and I'd like to buy this as a gift..

Not sure, but it is Early Access so they may be avoiding potential trouble from gifted users who never really opted in to the concept. Seems like there must be some way to gift the funds via Steam to the user. You can probably let them know it was so they could get DDV.

There doesn't seem to be any easy way on Steam, no. As you said, the Deluxe and Ultimate are set-up as DLC on Steam, which seems to make them difficult to try to gift because of that. You could always gift the base game as a start and then do a Steam gift card, like REDmoore suggested, for the difference the giftee would need to bump up to the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition themselves. At least you'll have some measure of surprise and actual gift giving then, versus doing a gift card for the whole thing.
