Is it possible to transfer game progress to another steam account?

My wife loves this game and I purchased this under my account for her to play. She now has her own account and gaming setup and would like to purchase the game on her account but would like not to have to start over. We hoped the cloud save feature would allow her to continue on with her game on her steam account but that doesn't seem to be the case. I know it's a long shot, but, is there any possible workaround that would allow her to purchase the game and continue on with progress she had made when playing on my account?

I just tested copying over my alt's save onto this one and it worked. So you should be able to transfer that on another account.

I'm not sure about the Moonstones though if you have the Deluxe or even the Ultimate Edition being transferred to a Standard account, if that's what you 2 were going for.

The save location btw is at:

AppData > LocalLow > Gameloft > Disney Dreamlight Valley > steam_(your steam id number)_r

copy the contents in that folder to the other account's 'steam id' folder

As a person who bought both the Steam and Switch versions, the Moonstones you got from the version you bought for will stay on that version only. i.e. my Steam version's 20,000 moonstones will not reflect on the Switch version, which will only show 8,000 moonstones (As in the amount I got from buying the regular version on the latter), but any moonstones you do earn in game will show up on the other version if you cloud save.
