I was thinking maybe it's a gift to give a new character to level their friendship. It's prolly not a huge deal. Maybe something for Remy cooking related. I tried giving it to everyone no body wants it, I tried planting potatos all over the valley nothing special happened. Made tons of different potato dishes nothing happened.

I have mine stored on the 9th floor of my house in a trunk in a room guarded by lion statues.

I even searched youtube for disney potato and found a video with mickey, goofy, & donald riding along in a car and goofy wants to go to a potato amusement park and so mickey and donald have to make one for him in the middle of farmland. That's when I started planting potatos outside mickey goofy and donald's houses nothing happened except I have more potatos around.

the code for the golden potato i typed it tells me it doesnt exists i am i to late.,

there is a known issue with activating the code.. make sure you have recently saved the game and saved to server.. then just keep spamming the code submit and you will get it in the mail, took me 5 times

Maybe the Golden Potato name is misleading. The first time a saw it in my inventory this is what came to my mind:

If the link won't work, it's a pic about a game where you played as Mickey (Land of Illusions) and Minnie gave you a magical bean (that looks almost the same as the Golden Potato) saying: ,,If you plant these beans beneath the Phantom's Cloud Castle, a beanstalk will grow"

So my guess is we have to plant it somehow (maybe joined with Mickey) and it will unlock a new map. Maybe friendship level/place/time affects the whole thing.

Also wondering if the Redemption Code without the "Golden Potato" letters mean anything. 'F' 'S' 'N' 'M'

mines fixed i started typing in random stuff in and appears to tell me my codes are wrong so I think it's okay
