Does Dreamlight Valley Have Any Combat?

I really want to get this game but is there any combat at all or plans to add combat in the future? Part of the reason I like Stardew Valley so much is they have caves with enemies to fight. Most of the game is a farming sim but they do a good job having something for every type of player.

Dreamlight Valley has some interesting ideas and I think the core gameplay is fine but I would love to see a small optional area with even basic combat if it doesn't exist in the game already. Maybe even just add a option in the setting that would make some monsters appear in the world and let players turn it on and off anytime.

Everything else about this game is making me want to buy it but I'm just not sure I would fully enjoy the game without something to hit once in a while.

There is no combat and since this is Disney (family friendly) I don't think it will come. The grind is in getting resources and unlocking stuff instead of killing things. The only combat I have seen were combat shoes.

I don't expect combat to ever come to this game, and honestly, I don't think it needs it. This is supposed to be as relaxed as possible, and battles immediately can cause anxiety for some players when a game is this naturally slower pace.

If you want a game where you manage connections with a fun little battle system, might I suggest Cult of the Lamb instead? That has the item management, people management, customization...
