Dark Wood Vintage Chest Issue

So I have many of these chests and wanted to use multiple of them for organizing, but they all seem to link together so I have all my wood in one and I can open a totally different one and it has that wood. I don't think it is supposed to do that. It acts kinda like an ender chest from minecraft. i don't think that is the intent.

edit: you can craft another type of chest and theres one from scrooges shop. These two are much less room inside though

Actually that is the intent. It acts exactly like an ender chest. I use it for all my gems (well, most of my gems--I've exceeded the vintage chest's capacity already). You can go to the crafting bench and craft regular storage chests, but they only allow you to fill 2 rows. We don't know if the devs intend to eventually expand the storage capacity of those chests or not. For now, just plan on making a lot of chests. As a pro tip, if you buy tables or counters from Scrooge's catalog and place them behind the chests in your home, you can put items on the tables to indicate what type of items are stored in the chests. Currently that's the only storage management system we have.

i bought 15 of them not knowing this cause its not clear. also Kat are you a dev im curious. also the chests should expand with the house storage on all chests not just the one cause the basic crafted ones don't go past 2 rows and it takes up a ton of space. i wasted a ton of my coin on these chests to not realize that they work that way. it doesn't say anywhere on the descriptions of the chests and things that it works like that. it should at least have a warning on it if thats the case. but as a user who doesn't see the point in that being in a game like this id rather have them work as normal chests with extended storage just as the house is upgraded and it is expanded with it. my house is fully upgraded so i cannot go any further other than adding rooms. I am one who likes to have tons of room in my chests to organize by category to help me find things faster.
