I don't know but I only was able to feed one raven one time, I think. They just keep flying in circles.

A tip though. There are not that many 5 star meals so far. But the Ranch Salad is 5 stars, it's easy to make (most things in 2 tabs in your ingredient menu), it's from things you can grow again (vs. rare fish), and also best of all it STACKS. So you can make many Ranch Salad ahead of time, and it only takes one space in your Inventory.

SO just waiting on next update push for this game tbh i just had a general question about the ravens

little tip tho as for feeding them stand still near them, they will fly around for a bit and then they will hover in 1 spot when that happens approach them and feed them

Same mechanic as the turtles. Run next to them and wait some time before it gives you the approach option. (turtles go in shells and ravens fly in circle)

Thank you @Teao. I finally figured out by accident and you are very correct. Stand still near a raven and it will eventually let you feed it.

The alligators run way too fast and way too far and way too often. I have fed one, one time. After a while it didn't even show on the captured critters tab any more. If they don't want the lobster that is fine with me. Lol

Alligators and Raccoons have a different mechanism. They are scared. It's a game of red light/green light. Get close enough but not too close, idk maybe 20'-30'. In this middle range they don't run from you but they don't also run randomly. They start looking around. Pay attention to their heads. When the head is up freeze. When the head is down you can move closer. If you move at all when the head is up they will run away. Even when you "get the idea" this will still happen sometimes because you have to anticipate when they are going to look up. Once they face you it cycles pretty evenly though. Keep doing this till you are very close. Once you get close enough the raccoons will sit down and the alligators will sploot. Once that happens if you move even closer you should get the approach prompt. Squirrel and the other birds (not ravens) are trivial, just go to them. Rabbits and Foxes want to play. You go them and they run away, just keep doing this after you do it a few times, they'll eventually stop and let you approach. Note i don't know when the new day flips but it happens later than I think so sometimes, it's the same day and most of the critters run away over and over if you've already given a gift that day.

I did get most of this info off a website that I can't remember but I've done all this first hand to know it works.

Thank you so much @Teao. You added some details that could help. The alligators are the most difficult, to me. Even the sea turtles - you just stand still a while and they ask for food.

If I ever feel enough energy to try the very elusive alligators, I will keep your tips in mind. Thank you.

BTW what is a "sploot?"

The rabbits and foxes are fun if I am in the mood. The rabbits at least do not run very far. The foxes run a bit farther but not impossible (especially since I removed some trees and moved any skinny enough trees to the edges of the frozen Biome. Much easier to see them and run around on cleared land.)

I have noticed lately (like you said) that the foxes sometimes still run and play like they want food even just after I fed them.
