I heard of this before. But its not intended to use that. Some people broke their game by using it. So if people are aware of the fact and interested in taking this risk.. well fine. Even if its annoying to wait, I will bc I dont wanna mess around with a broken game afterwards - it will be more annoying to wait for a fix than just wait 2 days longer to grow the plant normally.
Yes, the quest one is to improve it. But now you can craft 2 different elixir at the crafting station. A bigger one and a smaller one. The bigger one should instantly grow plants - but I havent tried it :)
I have to say its very poorly implemented. I sometimes understand the timegated mechanics but in this case I must agree. If the community has to wait for the patch with only 1 new character and in the end they have to wait a few more days to really play the storyline its just not thought through.
Sorry but I think youve got the wrong idea - I´m not rude at all. I only wanted to inform people who read this thread too about the risk they take if they use it on the quest-item (bc you have not mentioned that). I never was curios to try it on the quest item. That the new implemented elixir is growing plants instantly is intended and I tried it now by myself but its not intended to use it on the quest item which has a timegated mechanic otherwise the quest would not be signed as "this could take a few days"
I still wait for it to even tell me it's thirsty. I keep watering it anyway and yesterday it rained.
Why would they give us an uncertain task that lasts days, after we all were so eager to get going on the new storyline. sigh
The storyline literally said we could make that and use it...I thought??
The timing of that potion is not accidental.
Others have reported using it and finishing the Orb.
It did for me. Watered some pumpkins, and POOF instant pumpkins.
I'm not sure it should last for "several hundred crops" either so maybe yours got stuck?
Your wording was rude. This quest just came out so how would I know about a bug instantly? I'm not making a masterclass walkthrough of the game. I wrote a small little comment about something I tried that other people were wondering about. And as you said the quest says it "could" take a few days, meaning it could also be interpreted as it doesn't have to.
