BUG: Fishing spots all gone

I've just started Donald's quest "A Fishy Dispute" and started fishing in the ocean for catfish.
It was then I noticed there were no fishing spots in the ocean, but I assumed that it was part of the quest, however when Donald directed me to the spot where the catfish would spawn, there wasn't a golden fishing spot there and I wasn't able to catch anything but cod and seaweed. After checking all the other rivers and ponds in the game, it seems all the fishing spots have disappeared.

Anyone else had this happen and how to fix this?
(And no I'm not cheating or changing the time on my computer)

After quitting the game and being offline for a few hours, this bug seemed to have resolved itself.
I was able to fish at fishing spots and catch different fish again and even Donald's golden fishing circle was visible so I could fish up his quest item
