Can you play this fully offline?

Hello, can someone please confirm if this game can be played FULLY offline? As in, can someone please start their game with your internet turned off and tell me if you can play the game normally?

Yeah the faq may say that, but I'd like to know a real user's experience with this claim in practice. Like can I start the game offline? or you have to start online and then you can go offline? Are my purchased items in game available offline? Do If the game works offline, does my save work if I start the game offline?

In this day and age, the word offline is misused often. If this game does not do so well and they stop development, I want to know if it will be like those games that once their servers go down, you cannot play it anymore ;(

It's gonna be a free-to-play live service game so chances are that if they do shut down you won't be able to play it. Not like it matters since I don't think a game like this will shut down any time soon.

I used to play Marvel Heroes (a Diablo type game with Marvel characters) and loved that game, it got shut down and since then there has been no way to ever play it again. I find it so cruel for publishers to make us fall in love with a game, just to yank it away from us if things don't go their way financially.

That is why I'd like to know how "online integrated" is this game before buying, because ever since that heart break I have vowed to never play online only games ever again.

from what it looks below the game information is usually where they state if internet connection required, don't see mention of one being required for online play
it is tied to windows something it mentions on right side, windows live was once a thing then went down, it was an drm method when it fell many games have yet to patch it out so there not for sale again yet.
dunno anything about the new one, how it works or what it is exactly.

if your able to play offline purchases and stuff you would hope is tied to your account, to were once bought or anything its added to ur save with an unlock code thats inside the save for the items.

17 reviews its not being a fast seller, isnt it early access? so some might be waiting to see how things go, some are iffy about the company too ive heard

I have access to my items but when in offline mode you cannot access the "Event" page, where you spend the currency and where the battle pass is. So it seems you are slightly limited.

normally there called seasonal passes, battle passes would be lined with rpg action or shooter
most likely those are limited so people cant cheat at them would assume?

Considering I was trying to look at the event tab and I can't because it says I'm offline, I'm going to assume you can play the game offline other than trying to get rewards from the Pass.

Ok so I tried the game out last night and came to the conclusion that you can indeed start the game offline and play without problems. Of course the event tab and star road (battlepass) are not available offline.

Also, the only type of cloud saving this game supports is their own proprietary cloud system. Steam Cloud is not supported.

I have not tried cross progression between consoles as I only intend to play the game on PC / Deck for the time being.
