Trash Cubes
Hello everyone!

My wife just started this game a couple of weeks ago, and she’s attempting to help Wall-E. She’s doing the “Shy Little Robot” quest. Oddly, she doesn’t seem to be able to accumulate enough “useless trash” to form 10 trash cubes. She only has 31 pieces of “useless trash.”

She is really stumped and pretty disappointed by this. Can anyone devise a workaround to this issue? Is there another area in the kingdom that has useless trash?

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks!

She only needs to form 6 trash cubes (10 useless trash per cube) but that still means she needs 60 useless trash. To answer your question, no, there isn't any other useless trash in another realm. It's only found in Wall-E's realm. I checked Discord for you and there was one post about a similar issue for this quest and she resolved it by moving around Wall-E's realm to see if a prompt came up to collect even if she couldn't see the trash. That's how she found the extra trash she needed. Sounds weird, but she said it worked so it's worth a try.
Did you look into the crates?
Thank you everyone! I will update you.

Hello everyone! As it turns out…. The Mrs. somehow dropped 29 pieces of “Useless Trash” in storage in her house. *sigh*. So we now have 60 pieces!

So…in other words…it was operator error. It’s her first RPG. And she absolutely loves it.

Problem solved!

Thank you so much for the help and guidance my friends.

Thanks for the update. I hope she has fun!
I will make an additional comment for those who see this, and that is to be prudent and deliberate with quest items. I got my start on Elder Scrolls (particularly Morrowind), and Dreamlight Valley appears to be somewhat free and open in allowing you to make “mistakes” kind of like older Elder Scrolls games were (although not quite to that extreme).

However I’m very impressed with it!
