Merlin won't upgrade watering can?

My friendship level IS up to 8. So far, nothing. He did to it "temporarily" but I can't get a dark experiment yet.

If you go to the quest screen does his next quest show as locked? Does it have a prerequisite? Are you done with all his previous quests?

Continues is quest line and you'll get the upgrades for it. First quest is "temporary" as in, only for the mushroom he asks you to water. Second one allows you to remove the small ones, and the level 10 friendship quest allows you to remove the big ones

From what I remember, I had to have Trust Glades unlocked, and I think have Ursula?

Look at the quest tab, go to friendship quests and find his, and see what requirements is locking you out of getting the next one. I leveled up a bunch of companions to level 10 and was frustrated that I wasn't getting new quests, until I looked at that tab and realized I need Maui or Sunlit Valley unlocked to continue.

Thank you for the replies! Yes, i had some stuff locked and was able to move on after I finished the Dark crystal or something like that.

how come I can not remove those big mushrooms now? Merlin is now at level 10 and now I thought I read that should be able to rid those mushrooms that blocking paths to other areas. This game needs to be fixed and now I lost 2 decorations that I got from founders edition the $49.00 plus tax and after upgrading house several times the 2 decorations are missing glass to triangular coffee table and TV on cool stand where are they fix this game PLEASE

I'm having a slight issue with Mushrooms not growing back. I see them on the side the Evil Mushrooms are blocking, but after the few I picked, no more have come in and it's over 24 hours.

You can only remove the small mushroom bundles, the larger mushroom bundles are his very very last quest (I just completed it yesterday) and require more unlocks. Just move the wells to the other side of the forest/glades where you can't reach.

But again, to clarify, removing small mushrooms and removing large mushroom bundles are 2 different watering can upgrades/quests from Merlin.

Move the well to the side where they are still growing. Took me forever to realise I could just move the well... so I feel your frustration, there!

I have a strange feeling that there will be a patch at some point that will just not allow you to move a well at all or at least to a blocked off area. I have no problem with people doing it but it seems like an exploit that they might end up fixing.

If they do remove the option of moving the well, they really also have to fix item spawning. On multiple occasions the item I needed to continue would only spawn on the other side of a blocked-off bridge... so I had to resort to moving the well in order to finish the quest to get the upgrade to remove the blockage from the bridge.
