Poor Unfortunate Prince Quest Bugged

So I managed to get the last character unlocked, Prince Eric. Did his first task to make him some food and now he wants me to watch him reunite with Ariel. She tries to swim/glitch all over the map and he tries to run towards her only to stand there and look at her as she glitches around inside of rocks in the rivers and ponds. They won't talk to each other at all and I have no way to progress. Yay, another broken questline....

Any luck with it fixing itself? My guys are not even attempting to talk to each other, even when brought close by haha

Well, restarting seems to have fixed it for you. Hopefully it will work for you as well next time you play!

Well, restarting seems to have fixed it for you. Hopefully it will work for you as well next time you play!

Yeah I had to restart like 20 times until it finally worked. Everything's now maxed and done except Donald who I'm stuck on because of a bug.

That sucks. Luckily I didn't have the bugs with Donald's. Had a few bugs on some quests but I found a way to resolve it so far. With some luck they'll fix it soon so you can finish it all

I had the same problem that Ariel first stayed stuck in one place some rocks in the Trust, and prince Eric running back and forward. Then gave Ariel a present, didn't help. But once I asked her to go to her home, she was no longer stuck. She did move about the map for about 5 minutes. I tried putting a track on her, but it kept appearing and disappearing in different directions. Till after 5 minutes she did move towards Eric on Dazzle beach and they finally had their reunion.

Not sure if this is a tip, but it worked for me. Try moving some of the water homes slightly on the beach. (Especially if you have placed them on the Forest side of dazzle beach.

That area seems to be a common quest location for meet ups of NPCs. I was having a problem getting two to talk and just moving one of the buildings about five feet suddenly unplugged the dam.
