Last Star Path tier - a trap or a bad joke?

So, if you do literally all the Event quests, you get enough Star points to unlock all the rewards except for the final tier. To unlock the final tier, you need to buy all the other rewards (thus spending all your Star points). The final tier is 175 Moonstones and costs 10 Star points. 10 Star points COST you 200 (!) Moonstones.

So the only way to collect the final tier is to buy it with more Moonstones than you get out of it. I mean, unless this is a mistake, this is beyond predatory bull***. The last tier is literally just a trap to make you spend money so you can get back less than you spent.

There is literally no point to the final tier other than to make people who can't do basic math buy premium currency...

Can you only buy it once? I was under the impression if you kept doing the challenges you'd get enough currency to keep buying the 175, and I was also under the impression that the only reason you'd buy it is because it's a seasonal currency and it'll change or reset when a new season starts.

The number of quests you get is limited. It gives you EXACTLY enough points to unlock every single reward EXCEPT for this last tier. There are no new quests after a certain points, you also can't skip a quest if you want all the rewards, because of how they're calculated.

I believe the point of this is to get back some of what you spent to get rewards quicker. It's still a pretty dumb idea to limit those quests.

That was my first thought, but wouldn't it make more sense to just keep them for the next season then? I mean, chances are, if you're buying them to speed up progress, you're gonna want to speed up progress again in the future, so trading them in for less than you paid for them would be beyond stupid...

The points might not save over to the next month's thing. In which case it makes sense to be able to spend the extra points you have, if you bought the bonus package at the start but finished anyway.

The pixar currency is very likely for this event only as this is a pixar event after all we don't know the next theme, as someone who unlocked all items with my moonstones; it's a lovely incentive to get back my moonstones with duty event currency
