The number of quests you get is limited. It gives you EXACTLY enough points to unlock every single reward EXCEPT for this last tier. There are no new quests after a certain points, you also can't skip a quest if you want all the rewards, because of how they're calculated.

That was my first thought, but wouldn't it make more sense to just keep them for the next season then? I mean, chances are, if you're buying them to speed up progress, you're gonna want to speed up progress again in the future, so trading them in for less than you paid for them would be beyond stupid...
The pixar currency is very likely for this event only as this is a pixar event after all we don't know the next theme, as someone who unlocked all items with my moonstones; it's a lovely incentive to get back my moonstones with duty event currency
