I hope someone can resolve this
Disney logo, Gameloft logo.
Then, when I first launch the game after a reboot, a loading bar and spining star, and when the ar is full, freeze.
Any consecutive lauche don't show a loading bar and just freeze after two star spin.
After a rebbot, I tried updating "Visual studio 2022 runtime", adding the game as an exception for the anti virus, and "run as admin".
I never run the game, I freshly buy it, so maybe it needs to contac some server to kick things off, but can't for any reason?
Any other ideas?
Edit:
I am on windows not on the Steam deck
I figured out a fix. I launched disney from a PC, skipped the starting cutscenes, and saved the game. After that, I got back on the SD, and the game now works fine
Unfortunately, I am on PC, and don't have any other gaming console/device.
I think the problem com from first lauches, maybe a file is no created / present and if you copy it from an other copy, it works.
My next thoughts are to try a different PC, run the initial cutscene part, save, then close the game (or maybe ask a trusted friend/family member sign in for you on their pc and do the above).
I wish you the best of luck in getting this resolved.
Edit: Someone in a different thread mentioned changing the compatibility settings fixed it for them
As for compatibility, I tried that too, but it didn't changed anything alas.
(you can find it here to try for yourself https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases
Thanks to the Stray fix for Win7 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2837492423
And thanks to the friend whom give me this link)
Anyway, the game runs and then crash, and a bit further in the logs, I can read:
warn: D3D11: Failed to write shared resource info for a texture
warn: D3D11Device::OpenSharedResourceGeneric: Handle not found: 0x400018c0
warn: DxgiSwapChain::GetFrameStatistics: Semi-stub
So, I guess, the program can't create a buffer to decompress the intro video and freezes at this point.
I guess that copying the intro video from an other source may work and that's why it fixes the Steamdeck version?
If I have any other info, I will post here.
I had issues launching the game after playing it for awhile. Ended up Uninstalling it and reinstalling it to a different drive. If you have multiple drives in your computer try a different drive? If not just try to reinstall it.
As long as you enabled cloud save you should be good (assuming this isn't your first launch.)
No imported avatar or anything like that.
