Multiple Saves
I bought this game for my girlfriend to help her with her anxiety. It seems like a really stress-free experience filled with nostalgia and calming activities. And it seemed to work.

Then I realised I kind of wanted the same "happy place" to go when I'm not in the mood for fast paced shooters or frustrating strategy games. However, when I tried to start a new game I was only able to overwrite her save. That obviously wouldn't work.

It would be really great if the devs could add multiple saves. I understand that this is in early access and that doesn't seem like a huge ask.

Great game by the way :) (I've been told)

I'd love this feature as well

With all the flexibility of building all the areas and the open ended way you can do quests in different orders, I would love to be able to have more than one save. Also am nearing completion of the content of this save, would like to be able to keep it and also be able to play a new game while new content is not finished yet.

I would love the option for Multiple saves. I was thinking this morning that I would do a new game and take it a bit slower and focus on setting up my town in a different way. Then I found out I could only have the one save. Hopefully they consider making it where we can play multiple saves on one devise. I only play on the PC.

From a business model, this only makes sense for replayability sake. I know a lot of people do the one and done thing, but the reason so many of these sim games work is because you can make multiple saves and play them differently.
The basic principle is the longer you are in the game the more you will invest in it, both time and money.
I cannot believe that Disney or any company affiliated with the mouse would not think of this. And, because of that, I'm guessing its just a matter of time for different saves due to early access, not so much as a game design.

I completely agree! Also if you want to play it without deleting the other save, might I suggest a workaround? If you make another Steam account and then add the original account as a friend, then you can share the Steam library with the second account. That way the original save is still there and functional, while allowing you to have your own, the only issue I see with this workaround, is that it requires a separate device to work, otherwise it'll find the original save file and try to connect to it

From my understanding so far, the reason for not having multi saves is because of the save file structure. It is not a single file as in most games, at least for PC that is. It is a folder with several files in it, It is Gamelofts own version of a Cloud save and is not a steam cloud save. I can not say the same for PS4/PS5 as there is currently no option to Cloud Save, but it may still be only one "file" where PS stores there saves.

I am no expert with this sort of thing, so the above is just a guess.
