BUG Glittering Herring

Does anyone else have the bug where you've already caught the glittering herring for Elsa before, you need to catch it? I'm stuck and i don't know what to do.

It is only an idea, but I did this with other things: Put the glittering herring down and take it, maybee it will count than?

You can't drop it. I placed it in chest, then grabbed it again and that won't work either sadly. Been fishing during rain. Caught 30 fish and can't get another. Gonna just have to wait til they fix it I guess.

Had a weird version of this bug where the gold pool showed up in the Glade before that step of the quest, and casting into it gave no animation. I never actually *got* the glittering herring but then I tried storing the fish I did have and wound up having to restart the game. The gold pool disappeared, and didn't re-appear when I got to the step to get the special fish. Cooking the pickled herring fixed it the same for me.

Same, I just tried too. They really need to fix this quest.

I read somehwere else that if you store the glittering fish in WALL-E's realm refrigerator, the next time it rains another will spawn. Apparently it worked for some. Maybe try that?

i also had this problem, had the glittering fish but she still wanted me to catch. somehow it lets me catch another one, but then I had already made the pie with the dandelion syrup hoping it might just bypass everything but no... no... so now I have another glittering herring, a glittering fish pie, and now it wants me to make the pie but I have no dandelion syrup. exactly THIS happened to me too. I crafted the pie hoping it will resolve the bug and Elsa will just realize the pie is there, since I couldnt fish a glitter hering anymore.
Crafted the pie, quest didnt progress, caught a hering again and now this time im lacking the syrup while I have the freaking pie sitting in my inventory lol. So frustrating! I finally want to be able to destory the large ice rocks but without being able to continue Elsas quests, I'm stuck.

I had this bug where I had the Glittering Herring already and couldn't catch a second. I turned the Glittering Herring into Arendelian Pickled Herring - This then had the purple quest icon on it. Then was able to catch a new Glittering Herring, and make the fish pie.

It then made me make a second Arendelian Picked Herring, which also has the purple quest icon on it. I completed the quest with Elsa. However, I still have both Pickled Herrings with quest icons in my inventory and I can't eat them or drop them. So, even though I was able to complete the quest, the bug continues since now I have two unusable items.

I have tried to cook Arendelian Pickeled Herring with the glittering herring, but it's always greyed out at the resturaunt and my house. How are you guys able to cook it?

I figured it out. I had to make the Arendelian Pickeled Herring one time with normal Herring, THEN I was able to use the glittering one.

I found this in another thread, posted by a user named NinoBubu (I don't want to credit myself when it wasn't my idea but want to spread awareness!)

If you've fished the glittering herring before the quest begun properly, try storing the glittering herring in the fridge in Wall-E's realm! Then during a rainy day another glittering herring will spawn in the same location as before.

I just tried this, and it worked for me!
