How do i get rid of those tree stumps?

They need to go~ >:( no tree stumps allowed in my valley!
I can't get them removed in building mode and also not with my tools.
Please tell me I can get rid of them.

It looks like it will be something to unlock later in the game. They are annoying to me as well lol

Characters can upgrade your tools. My guess is an upgraded tool will remove them at some point.

some have chests visible hidden like the rocks and coral. really hoping its an axe or upgrade soon :(
