Cooking for Remy

I can't seem to make the fish soup for Remy. I get the milk and fish, I have carrots in my inventory, but when I go to cook it it doesn't show that I can put my carrots into the pot. There are carrots on a cutting board in Remys kitchen, but I can't pick them up. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

You have to go to the shelves to get the items.

I had an issue with that one too. I even left his kitchen and went back to my house to get the carrots I had stored there, but that didn't solve it. I went back and just chose a different vegetable (I don't even remember which one I chose) and then it worked fine. Don't use carrots in that recipe, just fish (any kind), milk and a random veggie from one of his tables.
