How long does it take for items to respawn?

I'm playing on the Switch, I need Garlic, but it doesn't seem to be growing. Does it take a few days or is this game just a buggy mess and I'm boned?

Depends, did you alter your clock to try and speed things up at any point?

Wait, can you even do that on the switch? I know you can on PC easy enough.

Yes you can change the time on the switch. I try not to because of Animal Crossing.

It's possible your garlic all spawned across the river, if you don't have access to that side yet. You can move the well across the river to access it and clear out all the garlic/flowers that spawned there to open up some spawns on the side you do have access to.

Yeah, dont do that in this game for ANY reason. It will completely screw your game up, and force a restart basically.
