Goofy keeps following me...
Goofy keeps following me even if we are not hanging out. I've tried restarting the game but he's still following me. Is this a glitch/bug? Anyone else experiencing this?

That is because you invited him to hang out. He will keep following you till you tell him you don't want to hang out any more. talk to him and select "Bye lets hang out later."

The only other reason he would be following you is that you have a quest of his being tracked. go to the menu and if there is a star next to Goofy's quest in the quest list then select it again and the star will gray out.

Check both of these then if these don't fix the issue then you can safely call it a bug or a glitch.

On some of the missions, the NPC that needs it will follow you until at least the current step is completed. I always invite another NPC to hang out so I got a posse. :laughing_yeti:

I didn't invite him to hangout though. I invited Scrooge and he is following me but so is Goofy...

He first followed me yesterday when I was fishing (I was already hanging out with Scrooge) and started following me since. When I entered the game today, he's still following me.

If you are tracking a quest with him that's probably why he's following you. I had the same thing happen with Mickey for a while before I figured it out. If you stop tracking the quest he should wander off

The NPCs often go running up to the player's avatar.

If one keeps following you, make sure to E Talk to them and tell them goodbye, end the hanging out time, or however it says it.

This is the most likely answer, imo. They don't ALWAYS follow you but they will. I usually ask them to to make them easier to find.

ITS GOOFY TIME

Hanging out does help find the NPC easier if it's necessary to keep talking to them during. And if they dovetail with the quest (such as foraging or mining) even better.

I accidentally discovered that the NPCs give bonuses if that's their specialty. I'm sure others knew, but I didn't. Nice surprise.

Other thing I wanted to add is that I have to go find the NPC and ask them to hang out again, if I have quit the game and gone back later.

Some quests will have NPCs follow you even when not hanging out, but are active, even if untracked.
