Since it's in a kind of scary area I thought maybe someone from Halloween town?
But, if not Jack, maybe his girlfriend Sally?
From which story?
I don't think Disney ever made a film with those characters though so it's probably not that.
1) Nightmare before christmas, pretty straight forward.
2) Cinderella, both she and her Fairy Godmother used a pumpkin and magic to create a carriage.
3) Sleepy Hollow, Disney DID a cartoon of it back in 1949. For those that dunno the villain of the story: The Headless Horseman hurls a flaming jack o Lantern at the protagonist. The least likely suspect.
I strongly suspect it to be option 2 because we got Cinderella cosmetics and a reference to the Fairy Godmother by Merlins dialogue. As far as I know, there's currently no references to NBC. Bare in mind I could have just missed them so take that with a grain of salt.
Does anyone live in a pumpkin in A Nightmare Before Christmas?
Edit: I just tried to look up more info and it turns out, Jack Skellington is called the Pumpkin King. My bet would be on him but who knows.
I haven't seen anything either way so am just guessing, but why would the Fairy Godmother who is all sweetness and light live in a dark haunted looking swamp?
Oogie Boogie also likes neon colored Stuff as he was often in a room with neon colors from a black effect. It would make sense do to the Neon green flames. Oogie Boogie also wanted to take over Jack The Pumpkin Kings place. Would make sense his magic imprisons jack somehow like Ursula Bouned Ariel to the sea in Dreamlight Valley.
