Also, the only point of time travelling is for people who are tired of only seeing nighttime in the game because they can't play earlier, or need to pick up a quest item that requires a specific time where they cannot play. Other than that, there's no reason to do it.
I never said nor implied you hacked the game. Going back to an earlier or later time in a video game by messing with your console's/PC's clock is literally called "time travelling". At least, that's how Animal Crossing players call it, and many of them do it. It's just an easier and more pratical way to refer to it.
Also, playing the game in an unintended way is called a glitch. Glitching on purpose is called an exploit and is considered cheating. Therefore, many devs ban people who intentionally exploit bugs and/or broken features. I would say: you deserve more than being bugged IMO. Karma got you and taught you a lesson. Deal with it now! :D
