The Unknown Flavor - Ice Slush issue

So, I'm near the end of Remy's quest in order to make the Vanilla Ice Cream. HOWEVER, even after doing everything before, Remy never gave me back the first Ice Slush I made and the crafting table doesn't let me make another one, meaning I physically can't finish the quest.
Anyone have any tips or workarounds for this? A patch maybe?
I'm not sure what else I could possibly do, I just want to finish everyone's friendship quests and he's the only one I have remaining.

After you gave Remy the Ice Slush, Slush ice becomes a permanent ingredient that you can purchase in Chez Remy on the table against the back wall. You buy the Slush ice there to make the Vanilla Ice Cream.
