If you wish to play single player get Slay the Spire - if you ever get bored there are mods for days. If you wish to play multiplayer then get Across the Obelisk as the multiplayer mods for StS are garbage in comparison.

For me there is no doubt, AtO. But I am not fan of StS, there are only few deckbuilders that I actually like.

Both are good - and the 'Spire With Friends' mod exists, if you know other people who are interested in running that side-by-side.

I just couldn't get into StS. AtO though is one of my favorite games. No contest for me.

StS established a genre and is very well-balanced. That said, AtO is brighter and has 4-hero parties, which you can play all (solo) or two (with a friend co-op playing two), or have four friends co-op, or any combination. AtO also lets you craft your deck and work on combinations of different hero classes and builds. It's really more of a taste thing, and if I had to choose one, it would be AtO.

That Game has much better Artstyle but oh boy the Balance Issues. I still wish it had Multiplayer. Not sure why they aren't making more StS Clones with COOP Multiplayer. These Guys showed that it is very doable.

This, Griftlands or Vault of the Void. Slay the spire looks like a high school art project. I don’t care that it has so many fans, I never could get past its amateurish look. But if that doesn’t bother you, it’s probably great.

Out of these options, Griftlands is a fun game. Vault of the Void on the other hand seems lacking to me. AtO have 2 great things for me that other games lack, multiplayer and the fact that you pick not a single hero but a team, considering each hero is different, you get a lot of possibilites.

Personally I never got into Slay the Spire and gave up shortly after purchase. Can't get enough of this game, love it.

Slay the spire has no extra launcher and doesn´t steal you personal data. And it´s the better game.

So there is no choice: Slay the spire!

Oh a shout out to Wildfrost as well it’s an awesome game with lovely presentation, great music and good steady progression. It’s quite different from your generic roguelike deckbuilder as well. It is brutally hard though even on default difficulty.
