i do not like hyperspace
the .12 update basically made this game dead in the water for me, not being able to fly between planets and stars just put a double barrel shotgun to the knees of me enjoying this game. akin to the hyperlane only update in stellaris or the hunger update in minecraft

Ah, ok.
I've not played Stardeus since hyperspace change.
Is it like Eve Online now, with ships going to a gate to travel to another star system?
X4: Foundations has that too.

its just a tile based sector system every tile is a planet or asteroid, there arent solar systems or galaxies anymore

tbpf, there never /were/ galaxies or solar systems in previous iterations of the system, but it is true there are things I don't like about the hyperspace mechanic, particularlly that it acts as a separate "Map" where operations on your primary playfield are suspended...I think the same objective could've been obtained with less "Follow the Leader" behavior, but alas, independent dev, doing it all himself, probably limits the ability of emergent systems being developed.

Regardless of the downgrade, I still appreciate the game, just perhaps not as much as I did initially...which reminds me that I should really revise my review, so that it's more current...initially i hated the idea of hyperspace, but with time I just sort of"Accepted" that this was the new way....

I started v0_13_pre and I see the sector looks like a solar system.
If the travel is smooth there, then is like it used to be.
Region has the lane connections though.
Then there is the universe with regions represented as just a dot.
I have to try playing more to see how it feels but I don't have time now.

I've also noticed in hindsight in v0_13_pre that infact you can "Exist" on the hyperspace map field, so technically it's a "Warp Bubble" space...so it's kinda like not well explained you can "back out" of the menu for the hyperspace jump. Basically it's not as bad as I first imagined, but it is a little immersion breaking at times (e.g. Staying in Warp Space is possible as long as you have resources to do so, which technically doesn't seem correct but then I'm a beta tester/scripter by trade not a Physicist.)
