hyper jump mechanics unduly complex
Every time I leave the game for a few days, I have to relearn how to do a hyper jump. Of course it is just me being an idiot, and I always manage in the end to find out how to do it.

But my experience with this mechanic is, that it is NOT intuitive. Sometimes I just right click where I want to go, and off I go. At other times I am told that I don't have an FTL drive, in spite of me sitting on top of a Hyper Lane, with fusion drives activated. I then have to leave hyper space, and i invariable find that my ship has drifted to the edge of the system, so that I have to fly all the way back to the Hyper Lane structure and try again.

As I already stated: I probably is just me being stupid. But maybe the interface is just a little bit too complex for it's own good, if it means that stupid people are struggling with it?

Suggestion: Make all hyperjumping a one-click deal: Right click on where you want to go on the star map, and let the ship and the crew take care of all the minutiae.

The basic version of this is already implemented, if you have fusion drives, you can open the starmap and right click on an adjacent sector, the ship will automatically enter hyperspace and do the move when possible.

For more complex operations, like automatically flying to and interacting with a hyperjump relay, or making multiple jumps to a distant location, it can be a bit tricky to implement. But I like the suggestion, I'll put it on my todo list for future consideration. But probably won't be done soon though.

I don't mind having to navigate manually to the Hyperjump Relays (in the location view). But when I am there, it would be nice just to go to the universe view and then right click on the next system you want to travel to. Just like you do in the Region view.

I hope you will fix this soonish, as it is a source of much pain and feeling stupid for me.

And meanwhile the game just gets better! Keep up the good work!

Hm, I think it would be possible to automatically detect the proximity of hyperjump relay and allow the jump in region view, I'll try to do this in the next build.

Idk, it seems insanely simple me - when you exit hyperspace you enter the sector you're above/on, and when you're in hyperspace travel is instant but requires a hyperdrive core in a fusion engine to travel to another sector or to use the hyperspace relay (or heavy core in an ftl engine to travel to another system without the hyperspace relay)

When you enter hyperspace you immediately move to another plain of existence, so you can quickly get out of bad situations such as dangerously high speed micrometeorites or breach capsules. Though you also lose the ability to collect solar power
