==========
I’ll add a few remarks: as it stands, without effective countermeasures, it’s just an overly arbitrary way to destroy a robot. It’s not interesting or fun.
I must say, as an AI, it’s rather ironic to have my robots hacked without being able to regain control of them.
One last observation that might count as a bug: by dismantling/reassembling a robot while it’s being hacked, the bot will never become hostile but will keep the "Being hacked" status, which freezes its AI alignment at 49%.
The only way to 'fix' it is to change its frame. I’m not sure if this is intentional or not… Or maybe I’m wrong, and this is the intended countermeasure in the game? Either way, it’s a strange situation.

Version: v0.12.0-rc43
Platform: WindowsPlayer
Type: suggestion
Play time: 19h 55m / 24m
- [Balance] Removing the core from a hacked robot will abort the hacking procedure
- [Balance] Hacked bots will have 50% chance to change faction (was 66%)
- [Balance] If Hacked core didn't change faction, it will have a chance to sustain non-fatal hacking damage half of the time (was always fatal)
- [Balance] Hacking will happen 3x slower to give more time to react
Yes, bots become uncontrollable while being hacked. But you can still order removal of the core, they will be forcefully brought to the assembly hub.
