Mod Support (Documentation & Feature Request)

While I am not super serious about it, I have dabbled a little into creating a couple mods to address some of my own pain points. For instance, I have made 'overclocked' CPUs that generate heat in exchange for more THz to reduce CPU clutter (or trade it for heatsink clutter, but I digress).

There are a lot of "components" that devices are made of, and each one seems to have certain valid key/value pairs that work with it. It would be nice to have a reference of at least what "Components" exist and what key/value pairs they accept, even if the meaning of those key/value pairs is not explained.

Again going back to an idea I had, I was trying to make something that is the opposite of a solar panel, meaning something that generates more power during a dust storm, or if that wasn't possible, something that just generates power at a constant rate.

It does not seem there is any way to produce power independent of a device type. I can't make a reverse solar panel because 'solar panel' is the only device type that generates energy just for being built and it has no means to modify how it is affected by dust storms.

So my feature requests are as follows: 1) A 'component' that just generates energy if one does not exist. (...or the name and key/value pairs for it if it does.) and 2) The ability to modify a device's parameters based on events taking place, such as dust storms, magnetic storms, or any others that exist now or will exist in the future.

Probably not going to happen, but I might as well ask.

I think it should be possible to do from scratch but I'm not sure. I will point you to some modding resources that spajus made that could be useful to you. At the bottom is the link to the github of the mod template, so you can create them using C#
