I think we should remind ourselves that yes, both satisfactory and stardeus are "indie" but that's the only thing they have in common
I've been to Coffee Stain Studios in skövde, it's HUGE and they employ like ~50 people... I've also seen Spajus office. It's a single room
Just wanted to chime in and... you know... Let's lower our expectations on a little haha
This is often due to a confrontational approach to customer relations.
Could you expand on this? In what way were I confrontational?
While in Main Menu, open console with ~ and execute the following command:
settings set_global allow.old.saves true
My bad, the correct command is:
settings set_global bool allow.old.saves true
I don't play RimWorld because of this I work 50-60 hours a week and enjoy your game because I could have a chill game session you should find another way to make things difficult variability in play is more appropriate than everyone is going to have to struggle and get over it because that's what I want as a developer and on a side note you killed the space vibe with that new interstellar map
"Space travel overhaul (might already be in progress) for 13+"
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1380910/discussions/3/595141367272849017/
But the last updates killed the vibe, the traders, gone, the planets, gone, the system map with planets, gone. Now the Space filght between the systems also gone.
Maybe I have a card game with the next update? Or another headles killing game? There are a lot of killing and war games on steam. But not very much where you dont have permanent killing and war. In this times we have enough killing and war in the world. It was great to trade, research and mine to make your day.
There were a lot of tihings I liked very much, the thing that I can modify my bots, that I can replace body parts of colonists, really great Ideas. Not to much micromanagement, very good.
But the thing with the last Update that I start with half of the tech tree, very bad Idea.
I had this with a lot of games I buyed, at some point you get all from beginning and there is nothing left for player to reach. The beginning has to be difficult, your ship is crashed.
Stay with this.
Also the game was fun to play when you had a hard day, not to difficult, sometimes only let it run and look what the bots an colonists do. There Im with Hiro Sol.
The last two days I played the last big Update and I started two new games and stopped every time after two hours.
I have to say thats not any longer what I saw in this game.
Man look back at your initial Idea with this game. This game was something special because you made it like you did, it will not be better when you make it like another android app or like other (main stream) games.
Keep the main target in mind, reaching a planet to deliver the colonists and build a colony. For this game the way is the reward.
I think its great what you reached, Im programming for nearly 30years.
Also this is my first comment on steam, normaly I dont comment, but as I said I liked this game a lot.
Keep the path you had to bring some spice in the game play:
- Asteroid - good
- Pirates - good
- Maybe plagues from a Planet which have to be cured
- Maybe some people you rescue from a ship or a planet
- Maybe repair a stranded ship to help others
- Or find some ancient technologies
Man look at Star Trek, there are so many Ideas.
Some other Ideas I had:
- get a new technology branch from other cultures (maybe a stardrive from bio technology or bio plating which generates power and uses bio waste)...
At this point I stop playing this game and look for the next Update.
Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. I hope the upcoming updates will turn things around for you. Also, a few remarks:
> I start with half of the tech tree
Basic tech is now pre-unlocked by default due to a popular demand, but It is configurable in the new game modifiers, you can start your run in the classic way with most tech locked up.
> the traders, gone, the planets, gone, the system map with planets, gone
Trader ships will be reintroduced in the next major update, along with many other NCP ships. In v0.12 you can still trade with Space Stations that you can find all around.
Planets are not gone, you can still find them if you travel through the hyperspace. I suggest to take the "Space Travel" tutorial if you didn't get to play long enough to get to hyperspace.
Finding a planet and settling your colony is still the main goal of the game.
Cant wait for the roaming faction ships update !!
