Mysterious Statue

Have any of you stumbled upon a mysterious statue in derelict ships and if so do any of you know what it is used for?

For now the statue is purely decorative (it's a custom Kickstarter backer reward item). There will be story events attached to these statues in future.

I hope so because I'm collecting them and building a special place for my colonists to appreciate them. Odd that it happens to be pentagram shaped, too. But that just seemed like the NATURAL way to place things...
