Men on Men, real history.
Is there any gay romance or sex for men on men? Seeing how this game takes place during Ancient Roman times, I would hope the Devs know how the ancient world viewed gay sex.

Roman society categorized sexual relationships based on the roles of the participants, with active partners being seen as masculine and passive partners being seen as feminine.
Explanation
Active vs. passive
Roman society was patriarchal, and men defined their identity by their masculinity. The primary dichotomy in Roman sexuality was active/masculine versus passive/feminine.
Social status
The approval or disapproval of sexual activity was based on the social status of the people involved.
Relationships
Roman men would marry other men, and emperors were often bisexual.
Terms used to describe sexual relationships
Terms like exoletus and catamite were used to describe sexual relationships between men.

So please don't let modern bs influence this game, hope it can be true to history and not bash men on men sex or love.

So what what part did you have a problem with?

The part that is factually untrue.

Rome did not have same sex marriages. Sex between men was certainly prevalent, but to say they were married is inconsistent with the historical record.

Yes, men in ancient Rome married other men, including emperors. However, the idea of same-sex marriage as we know it today was not common.
Evidence
Emperor Nero: Married at least two men, including Sporus, who was castrated and treated as a wife
Emperor Elagabalus: Reportedly married his male partner Hierocles in the early 3rd century AD
Cicero: Insulted Mark Antony for being promiscuous in his youth, including a marriage to Curio
Hadrian: Had a relationship with Antinous, which was immortalized in Marguerite Yourcenar's Memoirs of Hadrian
Trajan: Known for his fondness for boys

A gaggle of emperors calling their boy-toys “wife” does not equate to Romans having marriage defined for same sex couples.

Even with proof you still denied the truth, is it because you cant handle the fact one of the most powerful empires in human history didnt care about who they loved or ♥♥♥♥♥♥. You sound upset and homophobic only a hater would come on here and argue about me asking if there is MM in a game.

Dude, I’m an ally not an idiot. You have provided zero “proof” that same sex marriage existed among the common people of the Roman Empire. You’re not helping anyone relax their biases by highlighting your own bias. Marriage was a property contract. Read a book and stop spewing BS.

Not only that, he also failed to cite. Stating something is true isn't evidence. Sylow is correct. Commoners weren't allowed to have same-sex relationships as they rarely had subordinates.

Regardless of this being true, Slaves of Rome places you as someone of high esteem and means, thus allowing the ownership of many slaves and a large place to keep them. :) Happy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

He is not wrong... Roman men did marry other men and there are a few examples of emperors doing that. That being said, those marriages were not really officially legally recognized (however... one can claim that if an emperor did this, who cares what it was on paper and it indeed was legal) - so... complicated issue but he is not wrong that it did exist. mentioned however, it's not exactly a 100% history accurate game, but we did try and put a LOT of LGBT+ content in the game and I believe we have :) - although like anything, there is always room for improvement of course.

Unrelated - I hope it's ok to ask from everyone - we are trying to improve reviews very badly (plus, good review gives us the option to grow and develop more fast) so if it's possible to ask to leave (an honest) review would be amazing <3
